Bruce J. Hosea grew up in Dallas, Texas, enlisted in the Air Force and was eventuality accepted into
the United States Air Force Academy. He was commissioned following
graduation from the Air Force Academy and entered Helicopter Pilot Training
and began a career in Special Operations. Bruce became an Instructor Pilot
while serving in various operations staff positions at the squadron, wing,
and numbered air force level and served as a Rescue unit Instructor Pilot
and Safety Officer. He entered Fixed-Wing Qualification Training and stayed
as an Instructor Pilot, Check Pilot, Flight Commander, Section Commander,
and Wing Executive Officer in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training
Program. He returned to helicopter instructor pilot duty at Kirtland AFB,
New Mexico and served as Chief of Combat Tactics, Headquarters Squadron
Commander, Chief of Maintenance Quality Assurance, and Chief of Maintenance
Management. Obviously unable to hold a job, he assumed command of three
different squadrons, and was the Deputy Commander of a Logistics and
Operations Group. He also served as an Air Force Academy Admissions Liaison
Officer. He is a graduate of Squadron Officers School, Air Command and
Staff College and Air War College; holds a masters degree in Public
Administration. Bruce was a Command Pilot with over 3,700 military and
civilian flying hours.
Bruce retired in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after twenty nine years of service
and has since taught over 65 courses to third world security forces under the Anti
Terrorism Assistance Program on behalf of the Department of State. Bruce is a
licensed Emergency Medical Technician and a former Red Cross Instructor Trainer for
CPR, First Aid and Water Safety. He is a National Rifle Association Instructor in Pistol
Shooting, Personal Protection in the Home, Refuse to be a Victim, Metal Cartridge
Reloading, and serves as an NRA Range Safety Officer. Bruce is certified as a Glock
Handgun Instructor and Armorer, a Gunsmith, a Concealed Carry Weapons Instructor
for the State of New Mexico and he holds a Federal Firearms License. He and his lady,
the Reverend Jan Hosea, are active as volunteers in many community organizations
and are proud to call Albuquerque the home for J & B Ventures, Inc.
